Sorgo Grass Juice and Syrup
The juice obtained from Sorgo Grass is similar to sugarcane juice, a fresh naturally sweetened elixir. However, Sorgo Juice offers greater nutritional benefits.
Like sugarcane, the stalks of the sorgo plant are harvested and then pressed to extract the juice. Sweet Sorghum farmers have long known how sweet and delicious the fresh-squeezed juice is for years, but nobody ever determined how to keep it fresh and bottle it for consumers. It was just a sweet and refreshing treat they could drink while harvesting and pressing the sweet sorghum for syrup.
It contains Simple Sugars
Unlike Sugarcane juice which is mainly composed of sucrose, our Sorgo Grass juice has a combination of sucrose, glucose, and fructose.
All of them are considered simple sugars but they differ on the chemical structure which impacts how our body absorbs and digests them. Glucose and fructose are categorized as monosaccharides while sucrose is a disaccharide.
Why simple sugars are better?
Monosaccharides are made up of a single sugar unit and considered as the building block of carbohydrates. Monosaccharides no longer need to be broken down before our body can use them. They are directly absorbed into our bloodstream.
On the other hand, disaccharides are composed of two monosaccharides and need to be broken down before our body can fully use them. Partial breaking of disaccharides happens in our mouth but the majority of them occur in our small intestine.
Thus, our Sorgo Grass Juice provides an immediate energy burst.
Contains Vitamins and Minerals
Our Sorgo products also contain small amounts of vitamins and minerals such as Potassium, Magnesium, Zinc, and Vitamin B6 that are beneficial to our body.
Potassium has a significant role in the breakdown of carbohydrates, makes our teeth and bones stronger, and on the electrochemical balance for the proper function of the neurological, skeletal, and cardiac system. Including Potassium to our diet can help with the decrease in the risk of strokes, osteoporosis, and high blood pressure.
Like Potassium, Magnesium also contributes to the growth of our bones and is responsible for our muscle contractions and electrical impulse transmission between our neurons. Consuming Potassium may also help with the decrease in the risk of osteoporosis, high blood pressure, and heart disease.
Zinc is the trace element behind a healthy immune system and metabolism. Lack of zinc to our body can easily make us susceptible to many diseases.
Also known as Pyridoxine, Vitamin B6 is responsible for protein and glucose metabolism and maintaining our hemoglobin, synthesis of neurotransmitters and hormones such as melatonin and serotonin. Proper intake of Vitamin B6 can help in proper brain function, may decrease depression and risk of having cardiovascular diseases.
Rich in Chlorophyll
The traditional production process of the Sorgo Grass Syrup removes one of the most important and beneficial elements: the chlorophyll.
The way we condense the sorgo grass juice into syrup preserves the chlorophyll, resulting in great-tasting and healthier products.
Chlorophyll, a pigment giving plants a green color is also significant in the improvement of our health. We can include Chlorophyll to our diet by consuming plenty of green vegetables or taking it as a supplement.
Chlorophyll has many benefits. It has an antioxidant capacity. It can increase the production of white blood cells and red blood cells preventing anemia keeping our blood healthy. It has also an anti-inflammatory component and also reduces the production of gas toxins during digestion.
These are some of the reasons why we are producing this naturally, healthy, and energizing beverage for everyone’s enjoyment.
